Following our successful 1st Start-up Day, which took place in November last year, we were keen to repeat the event this year. We are therefore once again looking for innovative high-tech start-ups that we would like to give the opportunity to pitch their innovations and bring together PHOENIX CONTACT top managers, selected investors and our business partners.

PHOENIX CONTACT Innovation Ventures, the venture capital arm of the PHOENIX CONTACT group, recently made its 6th direct investment in the Canadian tech company iS5 Communications Inc. conclude. As we look forward to continuing our growth trajectory, we would like to host our second pitch event in Bad Pyrmont to bring start-ups together with a strong industrial company and our business partners and serve as a starting point for potential future partnerships.

Our main focus on start-ups for the pitch event is based on today’s PHOENIX-CONTACT key markets: industrial controls and automation, electrical connectivity, digitalization and related technology segments. In line with these markets, our investment strategy is to look for start-ups with highly disruptive technologies and business models that demonstrate innovation in the following areas: IIoT, Industry 4.0, Big Data & Analytics, Cyber Security, Cloud & Industrial Communication, VR/AR, Smart Services, Smart Infrastructure, Smart Energy, Platform Technologies and AI.
